Music had always been a part of a cebuano life. Classical songs from the renowned musicians like Yoyoy Villame and Max Surban had been popular until this time. This new generation has a new style of music call BizRock, short for Bizdak Rock.
In this present times, there is a rise of Cebuano Bands. The tide of CEbuano music has rocked the Visayas Region and also the nearby regions of the island. Bands like Agressive Audio, Phyllum, Missing Filemon, and other “sikat” bands had made their way to fame in CEBUano audience. Songs that have talk mostly of the simplicty of cebuano life.
I admit BizRock has increased its popularity as time passed. And more and more bands that once unknown now become known.
In the long run, would BisRock die a natural death? or would it mark the history? that is for us to see.
